Greenplum Database instead requires each session to issue its own CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE command for each temporary table to be used. WebTemporary tables are automatically dropped at the end of a session, or optionally at the end of the current transaction (see ON COMMIT). Existing permanent tables with the same name are not visible to the current session while the temporary table exists, unless they are referenced with schema-qualified names.
WebSep 26, 2024 · Global temporary tables are objects that are just like regular tables, but their data is private and removed at the end of the session. WebTemporary tables are beneficial when multiple sessions need to work in parallel with their own versions (data, definition or both) of the same temp table.
